Ambassador World Refugee Day Erika helps raise 1.3 million!

Every year , ASRC Telethon on World Refugee Day (Saturday, 20th June) raises millions to provide hope and support to people seeking asylum. The Telethon celebrates the strength and resilience of refugees, and brings attention to the richness and diversity they add to Australia’s cultural identity while raising funds to enable the ASRC to support and empower people seeking asylum.

Erika created video content in the lead up to the event and on the day she manned the phone lines, helping to raise more than $1.3 million to help support and empower people seeking asylum

The ASRC Telethon on World Refugee Day was a true celebration of the incredible people who have sought safety here and that we are lucky enough to call our newest Australians and this result is beyond our wildest dreams, proving that love, compassion and humanity always win!

More than 11,152 generous donors stood in solidarity with refugees and made a donation to the ASRC Telethon and our content on the day had more than 3.57 million impressions and +122,000 engagements.
